This Act makes provision for the grading of various types of grain produced in Canada. There is hereby established a Commission to known as the Canadian Grain Commission. This Commission shall, in the interests of the grain producers, establish and maintain standards of quality for Canadian grain and regulate grain handling in Canada, to ensure a dependable commodity for domestic and export markets (sect. 13).
