This Statutory Measure, made under sections 10, 13, 14 and 18 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996, requires records and returns to be submitted by abattoirs and exporters of live pigs on their activities to the South African Pork Producers' Organisation ("levy administrator") so as to obtain viable market information relating to pigs slaughtered and marketed or live pigs exported.
