This Act consists of 46 sections divided into 5 Parts. The purposes of the Act include providing for the economic, orderly and efficient development and operation of hydro energy and the generation and transmission of electric energy, and securing the observance of safe and efficient practices in the development of hydro energy and in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric energy (sect. 2).
