Section 2 establishes that the British Columbia Utilities Commission is continued under the present Act. The Commission's primary responsibility is the regulation of British Columbia's natural gas and electricity utilities. Furthermore, the Commission also regulates intra-provincial pipelines and universal compulsory automobile insurance.
