【 摘 要 】

In this paper, we present a new modification of Newton's method for solving non-linear equations. Analysis of convergence shows that the new rnethod is cubically convergent. Numerical examples show that the new method can compete with the classical Newton's method. (C) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
