【 摘 要 】
This paper analyzes the market share penetration of advanced biofuels and assesses the economical, political and technological factors critical to the diffusion of advanced biofuels. This study comprises economic policies, processes of technological diffusion of emerging technologies and a methodology for modelling possible transportation fuel scenarios. In order to model future scenarios, Stochastic Automata Networks (SAN) are used, a structured formalism that provides a high-level abstraction to represent continuous and discrete-time Markovian models. The results show that in order to boost development of advanced biofuels, public investment in R&D is the most important policy to be adopted. Developing strategies aimed to renewable resources; applying tax incentives and subsidies; and issuing mandatory country objectives are also encouraged. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
