Fix a P.V. number lambda(-1) > 1. Given p = (P-1 .... P-m) E N-m, b = (b1,....b(m))for the self-similar set E-p,E-b = LY:11(AP'Ep,b + b.) we find an efficient algorithm to test whether Ep,b satisfies the open set condition (strong separation condition) or not.
