【 摘 要 】
We performed high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) on Sb(1 1 1). We successfully determined the electronic band structure in the close vicinity of the Fermi level and found that Sb(1 1 1) surface is metallic in contrast to the semimetallic nature of bulk, having two different surface-derived Fermi surfaces (FS), one small hexagonal electron pocket centered at the zone center and six ellipsoidal hole pockets surrounding the electron pocket. The origin of these electronic states is discussed in relation to the spin-orbit interaction. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
