【 摘 要 】
We report that an extraordinary near-infrared transparency, i.e., T = 91% at-2000 nm, was achieved in low symmetry orthorhombic 0.94K(0.5)Na(0.5)NbO(3)-0.06Bi(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O-3 (KNN-0.06BZN) ceramics. The novel transmittance originates from the combination of its submicron-grain size (<0.2 mu m) and relaxor behavior (gamma = 1.71). Besides, the retaining of the low-symmetry orthorhombic phase structure assured decent electrical properties in the ceramics: epsilon(max)= 1337, and P-r = 5.28 mu C/cm(2) as x = 0.06. Our findings might open a new window for the compatibility of superior transmittance and decent electrical properties. (C) 2018 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
