【 摘 要 】

Fluorination of a range of pyrrole substrates bearing various electron donating and withdrawing substituents at the 1-, 2- and 3-positons using Selectfluor (TM) has been assessed in order to develop effective methodology for the synthesis of corresponding fluoropyrrole derivatives. The synthesis of some novel fluorinated pyrrole derivatives were achieved in reasonable quantities although many pyrrole substrates were oxidatively polymerised by the fluorinating reagent, reducing the scope of a selective fluorination approach for the preparation of fluoropyrrole products.
