【 摘 要 】
Here, we report a low energy electroplasticity event in alloyed aluminum (Al7050) at a much lower current (0.035 A/mm(2)) than the previously reported threshold of similar to 10 A/mm(2), leading to 10% hardness reduction and 38% creep enhancement. Ab-initio calculations unveiled a reduced energy barrier to dislocation motion with the presence of alloying elements.
