【 摘 要 】

Bleached silkfabric was dyed with natural dye obtained from the flower ofThespesia populnea. The colour fastness properties and colour strength of dyed silk fabric wasdetermined andcompared. From the comparative study of fastness properties and colourstrength of the dyed silk samples,Thespesia populneain simultaneous mordanting method with3% mordant combination gives better results.
