【 摘 要 】
Results obtained by studying project performance and project management success rates arepresented in the paper. The current context of construction project management practicesapplied in the Republic of Croatia, with principal challenges and factors influencing projectmanagement success in practical settings, is explained. A detailed comparative analysisof worldwide research focusing on project performance and project management successrates is given. A model aimed at enhancing project management performance levels bycombining three organisational roles, i.e. strategic role, project-oriented role and operationalrole, is developed.
