【 摘 要 】

NIA organised the National Research Summit on Care, Services, andSupports for Persons with Dementia and Their Caregivers in October 2017.A two-day national research conference, the summit's goal was to accelerateadvancements in the care of those with Alzheimer's disease and relateddementias (ADRD) and those who provide care for them. An important nationalgoal is to improve ADRD care. Currently, more than 5 million Americans sufferwith ADRD; the annual cost of caring for an ADRD patient is more than $226billion, and the lifetime cost is $321,780,3. In numerous treatment settings, avariety of nonpharmacologic approaches have shown promise in improvingoutcomes for people with ADRD and their careers.
