【 摘 要 】
Background: Breast milk is the best nutritionfor most infants, and current recommendationsencourage mothers to keep giving breast milkduring the COVID-19 pandemic.Subjects and Method: This is an analyticcross-sectional study involving mothers givingbirth since March 2020 and their infants agedunder 6 months. An online-based questionnaire, including the Breastfeeding Self-EfficacyScale-Short Form (BSES-SF), was distributedthrough social media from April to September2020. The dependent variable was exclusivebreastfeeding rate, and the independent variables were BSES-SF score, mother workingstatus, educational level, place of birth, birthmethod, and COVID-19 status.Results: There were 113 respondents, and therate of exclusive breastfeeding was 79.6%. Selfefficacy score in mothers who give exslusivebreastfeeding (Mean= 58.4; SD= 0.8) washigher than non exclusive breastfeeding(Mean= 44.8; SD= 13.4) and it was statisficallysignificant (p <0.001).Conclusion: This study showed that duringthe COVID-19 pandemic exclusive breastfeeding rate might remain high in populartions withgood breastfeeding self-efficacy.
