【 摘 要 】

On International Women's Day this year (8March 2021), Global Breast Cancer Initiative(GBCI) was launched by WHO and intersectoralpartners as a renewed commitment to tackledisparities in breast cancer survival around theworld. The specific objective of this initiative is toreduce global breast cancer mortality by 2.5% eachyear until 2040, through increasing access to earlydetection, timely diagnosis and comprehensive1 management. To avert an estimated 2.5 millionannual deaths, the GBCI will focus on promotingsustainable capacity building, and supportinginnovation and monitoring systems that use data for2evidence-based decision making.
