【 摘 要 】
The contribution presents a method for lifetime predictions of components with notches. The~method was developed using experimental data gained on smooth and notched samples and numerical analysis of notched specimens. The method employs approaches of generalized fracture mechanics and uses a critical length parameter. Emphasis is placed on the area of gigacycle fatigue.
