Determining oscillation criteria for neutral type difference equations attracteda large portion of research interest in recent years. The oscillatory and asymptoticproperties of equations of type (1) with p(n) ≡ 0 were extensively investigated inthe literature, see e.g., [1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 13, 18] and the references containedtherein.
