【 摘 要 】
Niger (Guizotia abyssinicaCass.) is an important minor oil seed cropgrown in dry areas grown mostly by tribaland interior places as life line of tribalsegment. Tribal people mainly use its oilfor cooking purpose, above than that therewere also other uses. Hence, the nigercrop should be protected from theinfection. The crop is affected by numberof fungal diseases. Therefore, a fieldexperiment was formulated for three yearswith the four replications at the NigerResearch Station (NRS) at NavsariAgricultural University (NAU), Vanarasi,Navsari (Gujarat) on the foliar diseases ofGN-1 variety of niger crop. In thisexperiment, six different fungicides alongwith one control have been evaluated tocontrol the Alternaria and Cercospora leafspot diseases, out of which all thefungicidal treatments were significantlysuperior over the control. Here, foliarspray on the incidence of diseases wascompared with the control (without anytreatment). All the fungicidal treatmentswere significantly superior over thecontrol to reduce Alternaria andCercospora leaf spot diseases of Nigercrop. Treatment of Carbendazim +Mancozeb (0.2 %) with two sprays firstfrom the initiation of the disease andsecond after the interval of 15 daysrecorded the lowest incidence ofAlternaria (14.56) and Cercospora (14.94)leaf spot diseases of niger and recordedthe highest seed yield 337 seed yieldkg/ha along with the net return with costbenefit ratio graph.
