【 摘 要 】
Proofs without words are generally formulas, pictures, or diagramsthat help the reader see why a mathematical statementmay be true, and how one could begin to go about proving it.It is the purpose of this article to revisit an elegant, but mostlyneglected, pedagogical approach to teaching geometry. Theproblems presented here, although elementary, are designedfor pre-service and in-service teacher education classes whereteachers learn “how to teach, not, what to teach.” By trading‘rigor’ for ‘applicability’ it is hoped that this techniquecan inspire grade-school educators to use these in their classrooms.
