The inequalities in our society arewell- established though ill-addressed.They are often painfully visible from oneside of a city to the next. Sometimes, it isjust a matter of streets. Think Grenfell andKensington. Glasgow often comes to mindhere and The Health Foundation’s reporton Scotland, Leave No One behind. The Stateof Health and Health Inequalities in Scotland,published in January 2023, highlighted a gapof 13.3 years and 9.8 years in life expectancyfor men and women, respectively, betweenthose living in the most and least deprivedareas in Scotland.
