【 摘 要 】

Training the next generation of cardiac surgeons is a critical charge of academic cardiac surgeons and is becoming more challenging with the growing complexity of cardiac surgery.1,2 Many surgeons and programs approach this challenge differently and with varying degrees of success measured by the final product of their graduating trainees. At our insitution, a culture of education, trainee autonomy and accountability, as well as patient safety have been key to the success of our training program.
