【 摘 要 】

Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are considered the greatest level of evidence in clinical research. In lower-prevalence cancers, where there is a paucity of RCTs, clinical practice may be heavily influenced by the results of a single randomized clinical trial. However, one must always carefully scrutinize the methodology of a trial before interpreting RCT results. In reality, RCTs are often more difficult to carry out and implement than studies in a controlled biological environment and might not replicate real-life decision-making strategies.
