【 摘 要 】

This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of Ovsynch and double PG protocols in postpartumanoestrous Graded Murrah buffaloes during the period October 2017 to December 2017. Based on history and perrectal palpation twice at ten days interval 30 postpartum anoestrous buffaloes were selected to induce estrus usingOvsynch and double PG protocols. These selected animals were randomly divided into three groups: Group I:Ovsynch protocol (n=10) having smooth ovaries, Group II: Double PG protocol (n=10) the animals that arecyclical and subestrus, Group III control (n=10) normal cyclic without any hormonal intervention. All the animalswere initially dewormed with oxyclozonide and supplemented with mineral mixture. Before initiation oftreatment, blood samples were collected for estimation of serum calcium and phosphorus. In Group III animalsestrous response was recorded as 60 %. Conception rate was higher in Group I (60%) than in Group II (50%) andGroup III (33%). Furthermore, no significant difference was recorded in the levels of serum calcium andphosphorus in between the groups.
