【 摘 要 】

The 2022 report of the IntergovernmentalPanel on Climate Change paints a dark pictureof the future of life on earth, characterisedby ecosystem collapse, species extinctionand climate hazards such as heatwaves andfloods.1 These are all linked to physical andmental health problems, with direct and indirect consequences of increased morbidityand mortality. To avoid these catastrophichealth effects across all regions of the globe, there is broad agreement—as 231 health journals argued together in 2021—that the rise inglobal temperature must be limited to <1.5°Ccompared with pre-industrial levels.
