Frailty is a comprehensive health measurecharacterised by an individual’s vulnerabilityand diminished reserve when faced withhealth stressors.1–3 As one becomes increasingly frail, the ability to recover from acuteillnesses is impaired, leading to progressivedisability, increased risk of hospitalisation,need for supportive living environments anddeath.
