【 摘 要 】
The aim of this work was to establish the structure of a crystalline basement along the previously constructed regionalcross-section located in the westernmost part of the Polish Outer Carpathians. The analysis of the gravity and magneticdata, additionally constrained by the borehole information, geological maps and seismic profile was carried out to anticipate the depth to the crystalline basement. Based on the qualitative interpretation, several basement-rooted faults weredelineated that in some cases most probably affected the structural evolution of the Carpathians Fold and Thrust Belt. Moreover, along the entire cross-section, the basement seems to be located much deeper than previously anticipated.Lastly, the 2D potential fields modelling indicates that a continuous sedimentary cover, most probably represented bythe Devonian and Carboniferous sequence or Miocene sediments of the Carpathian foredeep, may be expected belowthe Carpathian nappes along the whole cross-section length.
