【 摘 要 】

Inhalation therapy is likely to continue to dominate asthmaand chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) treatment.The pressurised metered-dose inhaler (pMDI) accounts formost of the global inhaler market, but this kind of device isdifficult to use properly. Dry powder inhalers (DPIs) have severaladvantages over pMDIs: they are breath-activated, easy andconvenient to use, and environmentally friendly. The Easyhaler®(Orion; Finland) is a multidose reservoir-type DPI developedto efficiently deliver a wide range of medications, includingfixed-dose combinations of bronchodilators and corticosteroids.Easyhaler shares a similar shape with the pMDI, and itsperformance is unaffected by moisture, dropping, vibration,and freezing/thawing. For these reasons, Easyhaler may beconsidered one of the most convenient inhalers for daily use inpatients with asthma or COPD.
