【 摘 要 】
Hypoglycaemia is the more frequent complication of insulintherapy and the main barrier to tight glycaemic control.Injectable glucagon and oral intake of carbohydrates arethe recommended treatments for severe and non-severehypoglycaemia episodes, respectively. Nasal glucagon iscurrently being developed as a ready-to-use device, to simplifysevere hypoglycaemia rescue. Stable forms of liquid glucagoncould open the field for different approaches for mild tomoderate hypoglycaemia treatment, such as mini-doses ofglucagon or continuous subcutaneous glucagon infusion asa part of dual-hormone closed-loop systems. Pharmaceuticalcompanies are developing stable forms of native glucagon orglucagon analogues for that purpose.
