As Echo Research and Practice (ERP) beds down with itsnew publisher (BMC part of Springer Nature) I’m excitedto bring you news of some important changes within theEditorial Board [1].Sadly, after many years of amazing service to both ERPand the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE), ProfNihoyannopoulos has decided to step down as Editor-inChief of the Journal. However, I’m pleased to report thathe will remain an active member of the Editorial Boardand I’d like to thank him for all his hard work and guidance that has helped make the Journal a success.
