【 摘 要 】

The field of reproductive medicine is recognisedfor its rapid innovations and advancedtechnologies, but also for its connection withlucrative medical industry and marketing. In vitrofertilisation (IVF) patients deal with multiplechallenges when facing fertility treatment whichhave a limited success and come at a huge cost. Inthis context, IVF centres offer, and patients ask for, aspectrum of unproven add-on interventions, called‘add-ons’, to increase the chances of a having alive birth.
