【 摘 要 】
At the second half of the XXth century, castellology, a science about fortresses and castles, was born from some humanitarian disciplines. It is quite compatible to the idea of comparative method. The author examines the new historical discipline, COMPARATIVE CASTELLOLOGY, which uses the scientific-categorical system of comparative architecture. The subject of this discipline in statu nascendi is the evolution of defensive architecture, examined through a prism of sources, influences and parallels. Sources, direct and indirect influences, senders, intermediaries and addressees of influences, historical (synchronous) and extra-historical (asynchronous) parallels, resistance to influences (stability) and creative replicas are the main categories. Comparative castellology can model processes of genesis and continuity, as well as results of influences. During certain periods of time there could exist a certain „typological balance”, but with new discoveries in military art there appeared some type changes. Comparative castellology is not a simple comparison of parallel phenomena. It can be considered as a special case of comparative architecture, with elements of comparative archaeology, town-planning, arts, etc. But it has a unique character, its own specificity. Comparative castellology can exist and develop independently, having as the main model the global heritage of the defensive architecture.
