【 摘 要 】

This is a study of the image of Bangkok, of the representations of this very large city through, first a set of seven maps and plans, some of them very old but some published very recently, some of them drawn for experts and senior civil servants and some available to foreign travelers and even sex tourists, secondly an especially significant short-story written by a novelist who is also an architect and a university professor. Have been found a number of very contrasted images but which present a Bangkok that cannot be separated from the surrounding territory.
