【 摘 要 】
thisarticlediscusseshowtounderstandthenature of science within the teaching of sciences using an approach focused on STS that helps us to develop a scientific education based on social problems regarding science and technology. In this regard, we review briefly the transition fromatraditionalideaofscienceandtechnologytoasocial image of these fields. Likewise, we describe the point ofviewoftheSTSapproachineducationwhichaimsitsefforts at a more centered, reflexive, and critical teaching of science. Finally, we offer an assessment on how to integrate thenatureofsciencefromaSTSapproachinscienceteaching from the perspective of citizen education.
