【 摘 要 】

In order for one group to dominate another, the threat and/or use of physical coercion is not enough; to achieve this end, the group must achieve a monopoly on the internalization, at the subjective and emotional level, of a set of representations, beliefs and values. However, this is not without confrontation.We will address social confrontations in an area often considered as "private", that of emotions. What human beings are capable of experiencing affectively has to do with the particular type of social configuration, the web of social interdependencies and the power relations in which they are imbricated. Our universe of study is formed by workers in the fish industry of Mar del Plata, who see their material conditions of existence threatened by precariousness, attrition, instability and job insecurity. In particular, we will reflect on the diversity of emotions aroused by the "smell of fish", a mark that characterizes this group due to their productive activity, according to the age and sex of the interviewee. Finally, we are interested in knowing how emotions in the face of stigmatization are related to the value attributed to the task performed.
