【 摘 要 】
In this article the chamber symphony „The Legend of the Bucium” by V. Ciolac is examined as a composition that reflects the specific features of the milestone period in the development of symphony creation in Moldova. It is analyzed in terms of the evolution of the current named „composition folklorism”. In connection with this there are considered the matters of the ancient folk layer specifics — music for bucium, classification of bucium signals, author’s modelling of quasifolklore thematism in the framework of the modal systems, as well as the genre specifics of the composition.
