【 摘 要 】
To Luther human beings can only come to true redemptiveknowledge through the Word and through faith. Althoughphilosophical knowledge in the domain of man’s earthly exis-tence cannot provide him with true knowledge in matters offaith, such knowledge is of much importance for man’s earthlyexistence from a moral point of view. By submitting to universalbeing even unbelievers can gain valuable insights into moralmatters. Such moral insights are important for making humanco-existence possible in society. Within the broad context ofLuther’s Occamist views on knowledge, both German mysticismand the Stoic-Ciceronian idea of being contribute towards asynthesis from which Luther’s views on morals in matters offaith and philosophy respectively emanate.
