【 摘 要 】

This research had as main objective to map the learning processes of monitors and ex-monitors of the Alto da Sé Astronomical Observatory, seeking to evidence relations between its monitoring activity and its teaching performance. The research methodological design, as well as the interpretative structure was outlined considering the Generic Results Outcomes, a theoretical framework developed to evaluate the multiple learning in non-formal spaces. For this purpose, for two months we performed a set of descriptive observations to understand the specificities of the research context. From these observations the questionnaire provided by the framework was adapted for the monitors and ex-monitors participating in the research. The results indicate that the monitors value the acquisition of skills and are aware of the value of the experience for their own professional development as future teachers. The ex-monitors have a broad perception, identifying in all the dimensions of the RGA elements relevant to their teaching practice. They see the monitoring activity as an inspiring experience and as a personalized engagement, valuing these characteristics, as opposed to formal curricula that have specific learning outcomes linked to standards and levels.
