【 摘 要 】

The aim of this paper is to address the practice of infractions by children and adolescents in the southern region of the city of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, during the period of 2012 to 2014. As methodology and source, it will be used the Social Defense System - SIDS, which has in its database all police reports, including the infractions and the involvement of children and adolescents with these. Through the system of Registry of Events of Social Defense - REDS, which is inserted in SIDS, it will be possible to perform research to get an idea of how many children and adolescents have involvement with the infractions, as well as observe how many and which acts are practiced in that region on that period. It will also investigate what are the measures adopted for both in order to see its applicability and operation, as well as the current law that guarantees the protection and the reinsertion to society to those children and adolescents who are in situations of social risk and committing infractions.
