【 摘 要 】
Towards the end of the 15th century, Diego Rodríguez de Almela, commissioned by high-ranking personalities of the Order of Santiago, wrote a Compilation of Miracles of Saint James very much connected in its theme to other works of his of a historiographical nature. The content of the work shows strong traces of the Castilian chronicler tradition and the school of Alonso de Cartagena, as well as various elements very much committed to the situation of the Crown of Castile on the eve of the end of the Reconquest. The convenience of a royal pilgrimage to Compostela and the difficulties when drafting the list of masters of the Order at the end of the Compilation, due essentially to political quarreling, condition the entire ideology of the text.
