【 摘 要 】

Revelation and reason cannot be separated from the life and work of a theologian within the larger context of the Christian church. There cannot be conflict or divorce between these two, that is, revelation and reason. The main issue in conflict is the failure to understand their role in theology. On the one hand, revelation is a source of epistemology. On the other hand, reason is the means to understand revelation. Every endeavor to articulate one without reference to the other leads to methodologies that jeopardize the integrity and sufficiency of Scripture as the normative source of revelation. However, the role of reason, as the means to understand revelation, has so to be defined as to be understood in terms of recta ratio, renewed by the Holy Spirit.
