Fifteen (15) nursesparticipated in the study and data were collected by the “Nurses’ Stress Inventory” and analyzed with SPSS-7.5 anddescriptive statistics. Stressors: physical effort, shortage of supplies and personnel, wages, conflicts between them andphysicians, competition, emotional stress, administrative tasks, responsibility for the quality of the rendered services, institutional policy, constraint of professional autonomy as well as space to discuss feelings. As for the interference ofstressors in care delivery, it is pointed out lack of training/qualification and supplies.
