【 摘 要 】
The increased consumption of fuel has an impact on the global economy, necessitating the need for alternative fuels. Various studies have been conducted involving the mixing of higher alcohol with biodiesel in various proportions in order to improve engine efficiency. In this paper, diesel blend containing biodiesel, ethanol and butanol was produced in order to analysis the combustion, performance and exhaust emission of common rail direct injection diesel engine. Biodiesel was produced through single stage transesterification process and then blends of Biodiesel (B40), Biodiesel-ethanol-butanol (B40 E10 BUT10) were tested at two different injection pressures (300 & 600 bar). The experimental results show that thermal efficiency in diesel fuel is higher than in biodiesel blend. Carbon dioxide (CO2) emission are low in the biodiesel blend of B40 E10 BUT10 300 bar, because there are fewer carbon atoms in the blend. The oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emission is decreasing in B40 300 bar.
