【 摘 要 】

Science of Fiqh represents the legal aspect of Islam .It has been originated and developed in the time period of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Like the other major sciences of Islam, Orientalists have showed their keen interest in the Origin, Development and transformation of Islamic Fiqh.They Studied the foundations and sources of the Islamic Fiqh but findings and judgements of them does not reflect the actual facts and has been criticized in the circles of Muslim Scholarship. In this article an introduction and overview of the Orientalist’s work and approach to the origin and sources of Islamic Fiqh is being presented in chronological order with critical note.
