【 摘 要 】

The coexistence between Giant Cell Arteritis and Polymyalgia Rheumatica, as well as thedevelopment of extra-articular symptoms are not uncommon, predominantly arterial vascularaffection at the ocular level is one of the main ones; however, ocular venous involvement in theabsence of other factors is a rare and poorly described complication. We present the case of apatient who presents with a central retinal thrombosis, attributed to the rheumatic inflammatory component, with an unfavorable evolutionary prognosis.
