【 摘 要 】

The present paper elucidates part of the fern flora of Pernambuco State. Metaxyaceae is native to the state and is represented by a single species, Metaxya rostrata (Kunth) C. Presl. Descriptions and illustrations, as well as geographical distribution and habitats, are presented.
