【 摘 要 】
Present analysis is conducted for Bödewadt flow along a permeable plane surface immersed in a Bingham fluid, which represents a class of non-Newtonian fluids exhibiting yield stress. The resulting heat transfer phenomenon is analyzed in the existence of viscous dissipation. After implementing boundary layer approximations, von-Kármán substitutions are employed resulting in a coupled non-linear system. For the numerical solution, a reliable numerical routine bvp4c based on collocation method, is adopted. Flow model contains a parameter Bn, measuring the relative importance of fluid yield stress. Boundary layer is markedly risen as a consequence of fluid yield stress. Viscous dissipation also remarkably influences the resulting heat transfer process. Subtle fluid dynamics quantities including normalized skin friction, disk cooling rate and volumetric flow rate are scrutinized under the influence of fluid yield stress. The results predict a deceleration in entrained flow whenever fluid exhibits yield stress.
