【 摘 要 】
Mobile-learning(M-Learning)isnolongerafuturisticconceptinE-learning.Thedisruptionsinducedbythemandatorysocial distancing norms amidst the COVID-19 pandemic has brought it to the centre stage as it facilitates seamless delivery ofeducationtomobile-usersonthego.Theeverincreasingpenetrationoflow-costsmartphonesandremarkableadvancement in wireless communication technologies has made M-learning ubiquitous and affordable. This paper highlights the roles that mass-adoption of mobile phone devices have played in sustaining K-12 schools. We review the impact that latest developments in communication technology and the deployment of LTE-WiFi coexistence, 5G, and Wi-Fi6 networks willhaveonM-learningapplications.Further,wehighlightthechallengesthatneedtobeaddressedsothatthehigherpenetration of mobile phones and deployment of wireless network technologies can be optimally harnessed for an improved M-learning experience.
