【 摘 要 】

The paper attempts to define museum as a non-formal education and lifelong learning institution by looking at some museums in theRussian Federationand abroad, through conceptualization of «formal education», «non-formal education», «lifelong learning» and «adult learning». It looks at principles of non-formal education and lifelong learning and their implementations in museum proceedings.
