THE WAYS OF LOGOS AND EIDOS: ANTIQUE MIND IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH

【 摘 要 】

The article is devoted to the reconstruction and the conceptual analysis of antique gnoseological heuristics. The comprehension of rational knowledge in ancient Greek culture by means of audit of such fundamental concepts as logos, eidos (myth) becomes a keynote of the explication of a problem. The appeal to the key concept “logos” is offered in metaphilosophical, ontologic, gnoseological and religious aspects. As a result logos is analyzed as the reasonable and fundamental quality having not reduced elements of a myth in the basis. The genealogics of logos in the progress is presented in short historical and cultural description from the antique era to modern times. The methodology of the article is presented by a textual, conceptual, phenomenological and comparative analysis. During the work it was worked out that: 1) the mythological intuition connects logos with Hermes so that it is interpreted as functional identification of logos with the truth; philosophical interpretation identifies logos either with the internal law of existence – logos is the truth (Heraclitus’s line), or it stands in contrast to the phenomenon (Parmenides’ line); 2) the early ancient philosophy doesn’t know the strict dichotomy of logos and eidos. The results of the research can be used in the philosophical and culturological analysis of various aspects of logos and a myth. The practical value of the given research consists of a possible inclusion of results of the research in lecture and seminar classes in philosophy, religious studies and cultural science.
